Nightmare
I had Pergo MAX Spring Hill Oak laminate flooring installed using the contractor with Lowe's in West Windsor, NJ, Hunter Flooring--big mistake. Within three months the floors were damaged, lifting and gaps between the boards. Hunter Flooring, the installers, came out and told me even the gaps, 1/8" or more are from fluids being left on the floor, which has not happened. This floor advertises that it can withstand fluids. Lowe's has not been helpful resolving this issue.

First things first, my fiance and I loved this flooring the 2nd we saw it. It was a little difficult to find since it's a discontinued flooring... looks like Quickstep brand bought out the color and changed it to Restoration Oak? Not sure. Anyway, it was on sale from $2.49 a square to $1.67 square. Needed 5 boxes for our son on the way's room for his nursery. I only have good things to say about the flooring so far. I taught myself how to lay the Pergo flooring by doing the hallway first. I learned a lot by having to starting over a couple of times and then the flooring went down easy after getting started on a long straight wall. I went back and ordered a whole pallet to do the living, dining, and kitchen. It took me a while, but I took my time and did it right. I would definitely recommend this flooring for the DIY'ers.
