Poor quality

I have had this door about 18 months. The glass on the upper sliding window has slid down in it's frame leaving a 1/8 inch gap at the top. As there is no way to remove the upper window I cant even have it repaired.

Scorching hot

This door looks nice and I like the roll down screen for better airflow thru our home. However, it took a professional 3 hours to install. Yes I hired an actual contractor and it took three hours for them to install this door. Good thing I didn't attempt this myself. Also, it doesn't fully seal so there are air gaps and I have to use a towel to block those and not lose all the AC or heat of the front door is open. Terrible door

This door was fine until about three years after install when the sash frame broke. I was sent a replacement as a courtesy by Pella only to receive a knock of version that should have never passed QA. Fit was so terrible that the sash no longer went up or down because of poor tolerance.

Expensive, but decent door, closers cheap

Overall the door is well made and easy to install with basic tools. Looked good upon completion, but the one gripe I have is the closers are noisy like a $89 storm door! Why? Replaced them with HD Wright closers and the door is silent like expected for the price paid. I have installed hundreds of storm doors in my career and was really taken back by the corner cut on this door.

Pella should be ashamed. 20-yr Warranty is a joke.

This door seemed like a good choice and I had no problems for a whole 6 months. First the "stoppers" on the top/moveable sash fell off and landed inside the frame. I put them back on and they stayed for a short time. The next time I noticed they were missing, I could not find them in the frame. They were gone. I love this door, it's more beautiful than the photo & the easy-closing function works great. The door gets 5+ stars. BUT Lowe's Customer Service gets -1 star because they didn't give the handle with the door.
