What Customers Are Saying
The product is a mixed bag, with both positive and negative reviews. On the positive side, users found it easy to set up and use, and suitable for light to medium-duty tasks. However, many reported issues with the saw's performance, including an underpowered motor, problematic blade guides and tracking, and a flimsy construction. While it may be adequate for basic hobby use, the product appears to have significant limitations compared to higher-end models.

have had this saw for awhile and it does what i need it to do-----however, the little 3/8 x 6 inch belt broke----$37.99----are you friggin serious that's about 1/4 of what i paid for the saw----screw you porter cable
Good value if you get it discounted.
First impression was that it's cheaply made. This type of tool could cost a whole lot more than what I paid. So in this case, I got what I paid for.

Great machine for its size.
It is lightweight enough for me to move it about and it is compact. I don't do large cuts so this is perfect. After watching some videos of how to properly set this up, taking off the blade that came with it is a crucial tip! Get some good blades for the work you do, set it properly and this machine runs like a charm.

Better Than Most in it's Class
Good saw. All metal construction which was the deciding factor on purchasing this saw. All small bandsaws seem to have mediocre reviews and the metal panels put this one at the top for me. Cuts 3/4 oak, 2x4 cedar easily with the stock blade. Easy to set up out of the box. There weretwo minor inconveniences on my saw, the cut out for the miter fence on the table had crappy milling. Took about 30 seconds with a dremel tool to correct, and the saw base is barely out of level. However both my bench ...
Porter Cable won't even list it on their website
Yup, such poor quality that Porter Cable won't even show it on their website. The upper blade guides self-adjust as you adjust the height - not a feature I prefer and not one I think they intended to offer...It's a cheap, plastic guide rail that, when tightened down, may or may not realign so one of the guides will rub hard on the blade. What I do to adjust the guides doesn't matter; I'm guaranteed a bad cut.
