I thought it looked pretty cool, but was skeptical about whether it would kill bugs. After a couple of months, I noticed it was not working. Upon close inspection, the base of the light was filled with tiny bug carcasses. I cleaned the light with air and by gently tapping the light on its side, and voila, it recharged and then continued to work again. Very pleased and will buy a few more for the yard. Run away as fast as you con from this!
Does not work as advertised. I repeat does not work! It never killed any bugs. In fact it seemed to attract more bugs. It wes only on for a couple of hours every night. Beware the poll is very flimsy and can break when putting in the ground. I really do like the way it look at night, but it useless as a bug zapper.

Purchase it for looks, not ability to zap
The light does not zap bugs. It looks great for about 4 hours. There is no bug activity around it. Our 18v bug zapper does a better job, but the light looks cool so we use it on our entrance walkway.
