Perfect for Alberta Winter
Fantastic jacket for winter. I purchased this as I take the bus and am tired of big bulky jackets. It has been my constant this winter when I am walking, skating or commuting. It is good on its own to -18C and works fantastic when it is colder as part of a layering system. The fit is accurate, I am 5'9", 135 lbs and the medium fit perfect. No wind gets through this coat!

nice parka!
I really love the parka. It's very lightweight and warm, and the color is perfect. My only problem with it is my disappointment that it was made in China. I hadn't seen any reference to where is was made when I looked at the information about it. Since Outdoor Research has a factory in the United States, I had assumed that is where it had been made. I would like to suggest that you be honest on your site and tell where it was made.

Warm and flattering!
I love the Sonata Parka. It keeps me warm when I am in my cocktail dress headed to a holiday party. And I wear it walking around town in the middle of winter. I also wear it over my base and mid-layers before a day of skiing. This jacket gets a lot of compliments (I own it in black and cornflower). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a longer length down jacket who doesn't want to sacrifice style. This coat fits true to size. And most importantly, its warm!

Lightweight, Warm, Beautiful
I have been waiting years for a longer down parka. I could never justify it to myself. I have to say that getting this parka was worth the wait! Or, shall I say worth the weight? Longer down jackets have just seemed impractical to me in the past because they are so big and bulky and donメt travel well. This jacket is surprisingly packable and lightweight, and for a 650-fill jacket, it feels like 800-fill to me! (And itメs RDS certified so thereメs a relief to your conscience regarding how the feath...

light weight and warm
I ordered this coat online and when I first held it I though it was much to thin and light weight to take on a cold Canadian winter. I was wrong. I first wore it in a cold, sideways snow, dog walk and I found it to be both warm and wind proof and after thirty minutes of snow exposure it was still dry. I'm 5'9" 145 lbs and ordered the medium which was a perfect fit with a sweater underneath.
