Too Loud!
This was my 1st portable AC unit. Our home has central air but 2nd floor bedrooms never cooled well. I was excited since we only have sliding doors and you can get vents for them now. This unit was really loud even on low. It cooled great and quickly. But there was no sleeping. Then when the temperature stabilized and the fan stopped, it made a really annoying whistling sound???? Returning to Lowe’s.

It’s not as quiet as advertised but does cool
We decided to try this product as the reviews I read stated it was ‘quiet’ and we did not want to install a Mitsubishi system. The product does cool but when it first starts up, it is noisy for the first couple of hours, fan cycling and a grinding, growling type of noise in between - making it hard to get to sleep. Once the room gets to the set temp, it seems to ‘settle’ down and is quiet between fan cycles. We’ve only used it in the cooling mode to date and have had it less than a month.

Not worth the money
does not work like an 8,000 BTU A/C and broke after 40 days. Returned to the store and Lowes was kind enough to return my money for this item. Do Not Purchase.
