Oatey 2-in Drain Seal - General Purpose Drains

Drain seal doesn't really seal

I can see through the slot on the bottom that is supposed to block odors and bugs from getting through. Therefore, I don't believe it will block odors, gases, or small insects as advertised.

Helpful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product! This product was so easy to use and helped me a lot during my cleaning days. I would definitely recommend, especially if you are someone with a lot of hair!

Odor be gone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great to keep odors from coming in pipes. No more random spiders in the shower either. Great product and very easy to install. Great value for your money and this helps the environment from keeping those funky orders stay where they should and not in your home .

Useful!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ended up using this in my spare bedroom tub since we’ve had an issue with insects but mainly baby spiders coming up the drain since we don’t use that bathroom often and it worked like a charm. Can’t speak for the odors because we didn’t have that issue

Good product, doesn’t clog

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a very effective product. It kept things out of the drain and didn’t clog the drain, also did not have a smell from the residue collected.

Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drain seal was easy to install. It works great, no problems with the water flow. I haven’t noticed any smells or little cockroaches coming from the drain after I installed it.

Works good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The strange seal works perfectly. I have it on a drain that smell comes out if I don’t have the drain seal, but with the drain seal, it works perfectly and prevents smells from coming in.

Clever design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really cleverly designed p trap cover. Unfortunately it did not fit my drain (information on packaging is kind of nondescript with it vaguely saying it fits *most* drains). I love the idea of it and that it can fit right in the existing pipe. I would love to track one down in the proper size for my drain and may buy one in the future. I wish this had worked as it’s filling a real need. Check measurements before purchasing!

Helpful item to own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice product to own. I've had some bugs come up through the years and it's made me paranoid where I usually end up pulling up the drain nightly before I got this item. My drain was a bit finicky to remove the cover off than what was shown in this product's videos so I had my neighbor who is a plumber come over and install this. Seemed very easy to do once the stubborn drain top was removed. Can definitely recommend.

Handy Gadget

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this product ready and waiting to install in my basement someday soon. I just have to be wait for my husband to do it so that I don't do it incorrectly. Looks pretty easy and self explanatory.
