I used the size 2 to carry a Fisher space pen on my belt loop. The pen was attached to the carabiner with an o-ring--the old fashioned kind you have to wrestle around 3 times. Much to my amazement, after a day of mild hiking (no slithering through tight spaces), the pen and o-ring were gone. Empty carabiner on my belt, apparently with no damage, still springy. The only way for houdini to have escaped was the s-carabiner opening. Bad luck. So i bought another S-carabiner and another space pen....

Love the lock
I have used these for a while. I bought the slide lock one and lost one of the slides. Wonder if I could purchase. Other than that I love these.

Another Great Use for this Tool
Wife has a lightweight electric mobility device that weighs about 40 lbs and runs on Li-ion battery. I use four of these dual carabiners to connect the scooter to an electric lift that places the scooter in the back of our SUV.
