Good unit but...........

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this heater to replace the same one I have. The thermostat on the existing unit failed. While I have not had the electrician out to the house to swap out the units, the new one I bought got delivered with the box nearly destroyed. I hope that does't affect the heater when it gets installed. Looks like it was banged around pretty good.

Great heater for the money!

Would Recommend

I bought this for my dad a year ago for Christmas. My dad is very electrical and had no problem with the installation. He got to try it out for the first time this year. He loves it! He keeps the thermostat set at around 65 degrees and that is just right in maintaining comfortability in his 2 car garage. It heats up very quickly! Fan noise is not bad at all in that it sounds about as loud as a standard space heater. Get this heater, you will not regret it!

Fire hazard

Would Not Recommend

I purchased and installed this NewAir G73 in December of 2017 to occasionally heat our attached 2 car garage when needed. Apparently the fan stopped working allowing the heating element to overheat, destroying the heater and doing substantial smoke damage to our garage ceiling and covering the garage with soot.

As always, if the package is damaged beware!

The package came damaged on one corner which in turn caused the product to also be damaged-the square cube housing was now a warped square cube housing. In stead of waiting another two weeks to return and get an another (which may show up damaged as well), I proceeded to disassemble and rework the housing back into a square cube and reassemble the unit. I installed the unit and it is now operating as should. Also the product came with two large concrete anchors but no lag bolts to anchor the br...

Don't waste your time!

Would Not Recommend

Right out of the box the fan wouldn't work. I called customer service and they said try pushing the fan blade back. I don't think so, returned! Thank you NewAir for wasting my time. The only good thing is I'm an electrician so no charge for hook up and I'm ready to go when the other heater show's up.
