Purchased this ice maker at Lowe’s for additional ice needs at the house. Started noticing a black residual that would build up in the unit despite cleaning as per recommended guidelines. Contacted manufacturer and they sent me a replacement unit within a week. NewAir customer service was great and the only reason they didn’t get a 5 star review is because of the mechanical issues which the original ice maker had. Worked great for 12 days! Been dealing w/ support. 28 emails. Sent all the info/pics/video. Didn't cut the cord correctly. Took our machine to the dump & bam. They aren't replacing. Beware of Charles!

On Third Unit In Two Months

I bought this for wife has a birthday present two months ago because she loves nugget ice. I have had two replacement units sent to me. I will say their customer support has been great, but I fear the manufacturer they use for these units has some serious issues. Here is the breakdown of my units, First Unit: Seemed great at first. lasted 3 months

I got this ice maker as a replacement for a nugget maker that lasted 11 months. This one lasted 3 months. Since the warranty is now out the only thing they said they would do is give me a 40 percent discount on another one. Worked great until it didn't. I wouldn't recommend unless u just expect it to not last. They will replace within the 1st year but you still have to pay shipping and tax. Buyer beware!

Second Unit in a year

These make great ice when they work. This is the second unit within a year; we use filtered water as well as clean the unit on a regular basis using a mild cleaner. Grateful to have the warranty, but these units do not hold up. Don't know if it is just a product of these countertop units or if it is just this brand.

Awesome machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the ice machine. Easy to clean makes a lot of ice very quickly easy to set up and to fill with water it's relatively quiet. Packaging was very secure and solid. Delivery was very quick very and product support was very professionally handles. much worth the money

I'm very disappointed in this Ice machine!

Stopped working after a short time of use. It leaked water consistently. Started making a screeching noise. Took the back panel off and it's full of mold. I was hospitalized over it. Absolutely do not buy this product. I called the phone number listed on other reviews but no luck.

Horrible product and customer.service

I purchased an ice machine Sept/Oct of last year. Within a few months it was making a screeching noise. I contacted customer service (Fern) who made replacing the unit very easy. I received my new until quickly. After a couple months this unit was no longer making ice. I again contacted customer service (again someone named Fern) I asked for a refund this time.
