Powerful Fan

Great things about this fan-very powerful, even on lowest setting moves a lot of air. I use another window fan to bring cool air in (when it's cooler outside, of course) then use this Newair fan to move the hot air out. When weather conditions are right, this cools down the space very quickly. I feel confident the fan will last (this is summer #2), and the grill comes off for cleaning. Fan at lowest speed moves A LOT of air. Will slide itself around on wood floor, so have put a non-skid mat under. Purchased to replace a plastic, three year old, unable-to-open-to-clean plastic fan that died on the worst day of the recent PNW heat wave; thank goodness we had one other fan as this one had to be ordered online and so could not immediately be obtained. Specifically wanted something that could be cleaned AND be recycled when it dies. Hopefully it has a longer life than its predecess...

manufacture packing box was damaged before it was put in the shipping box. So what I am supposed to do, open it, try it first and see how it works and file a complain after ?. Not sure what to think from Lowes. Thank you for asking

excessive power in a good way

Very few times do you come across a product that exceeds your expectations and this fan does just that. I got this fan to help circulate the air in my garage after i intalled a portable air conditioner and it works fantastic. Its so powerful thaat i have to put a sandbag on the base to keep it from moving around on the hard garage floor. It works great and i plan on getting snother for my patio.

Great quality fan that is built for work!

I've been putting this fan to work both in the DP Shop Talk workshop and on the job site. It is well built with an all-metal construction and has held up to job site use with ease. The 3,000 CFM of air flow works great to keep the air moving and keep things cool. I like that it has a compact size and footprint so it easily fits in my work van along with the rest of my gear. One of the best fans we've ever used

In the garage or in the house this fan moves a lot of air! Also excellent for quickly drying a recently mopped floor or damp raingear, we love finding uses beyond cooling us down. Fyi it moves more air than the Vornado fans we've bought at a better price point. Considering another of the same model or even a larger unit in the future.

Honestly, newair *blew me away* with the WindPro18F. They shipped both orders fast and they run specials on their website frequently. We run both fans daily here in the bay area, California. The WindPro has made this season a whole lot cooler, unlike the previous summers with box and osculating fans.
