Though it's a durable product, it is pricy
there is not prepping, staining or painting needed and it is more durable to the elements. I used the product before on another gate and besides my son breaking a few of the panels, it's been holding up, and he didn't get splinters since it is not wood.

I am extremely disappointed in these pickets. I have them installed in my gate that gets constant sun (I live in AZ, which is probably the sunniest place in the country), and while they look beautiful, they are already warping and it's only been three months! Winter months, mind you! I have the larger (5" wide) boards in my RV gate and they fine, but the smaller boards are just awful. They are secured top, bottom and middle, but they gape out in crazy ways. I guess I'm going to have to repl...

Excellent product for fencing, provided horizontal backing is used behind slats at 2.5-foot intervals. Mount with screws. Oversized predrills to allow for thermal expansion of composite product.

Beautiful addition to the gate
A few years ago I had installed composite slats however they deteriorated bad. The one photo shows the bad slats the other shows a comparison of new and old.
