Simpler way to join the ends of a chain !

I've wasted hours trying to find our if shackle would fit in chains because the inside dimensions of the links, minus one link inside, for passage of a shackle are not given for chains. These greatly simplify things !

Easy way to fix a Broken length of chain.

I fixed a length of chain I use to pull out dead bushes and small trees that had broken due to being dragged along the pavement. Link that had weight bearing on it and was against the pavement wore down to the point of being so thin that it snapped when I tried to pull out a sawn of log from my wooded area. It helped me keep going without the added expense of buying a whole new length of chain.
