Requires 2AA batteries. So I won't be putting them outside. My grandaughter likes to play with the switch so they're a toy for her. I got a good deal on these 40% off, so since they don't work exactly exactly as described, they're still worth the money.

Information indicates that the lights are solar powered. They are not. They are battery powered and require 2 AA batteries. Look at second picture and you will see a battery pack, not a solar panel. They are bright. I wish they were solar so I wouldn't have to worry about batteries.
