Diverter failed in 6 months
Diverter failed in 6 months with only one person using the shower. I had a total bathroom remodel but the only things that have failed, so far, are Moen products. sticks out far from plate, not "clean" looking
I purchased this with the recommendation from a plumber because we needed a kit, and he said it was reliable, but I was really disappointed with how it fits- with a wide space from the plate. Its so wide it looks like it wasn't installed properly.

Fantastic Product but needs maintenance
We built a new home about 3 years ago and had 4 of these installed with the build. After 3 years, 3 of the 4 shower faucets (that get used daily) have started to get catchy and squeak when we turn them. I pulled the valves/cartridges (cartridge part # 1222) out and lubed them with plumbers silicone. Now they are working much better.

Not what it used to be
This was the faucet they placed in my home after building. I was shocked to see that the cartridges were already going out after living there for only 4 years. One thing that I really dislike about the cartridge is the black seals on the sides. These pieces, even when lubricated, get stuck. This results in the seals falling off and breaking in the pipe. Water pours out of spout
This product has caused us problems from the beginning. Now it has only gotten worse. Handle has always been hard to move to turn shower on. In both bathrooms. If you turn on the shower more water comes out the spout then out of the shower head. Never had Moen in 9 houses I've lived. I never had any problems like this either.

Broken again!
This shower temperature control handle has stopped working twice in the first two years of living in our new townhome. Mown already sent me a replacement cartridge which I installed 8 months ago. Now we can't get hot water from it and I've already had to take a cold shower.
