The spray can is designed to spray horizontal. To spray grout you must spray down and that will empty the can. Better to use paint brush.

Noxious and wasteful for floors
I thought this aerosol product would be good for sealing floor medallions, but in use most product ended up on the tile so I had to squeegee it off into the grout. Working in a small bathroom the vapors really took their toll - read and follow the safety instructions! I would however recommend it for wall tiles.
