What Customers Are Saying
The Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss is generally effective in amending soil and improving moisture retention for a variety of plants, including tropicals, succulents, palms, and acid-loving plants. It helps loosen heavy or clay-like soil and can be easily mixed with potting soil or other amendments. However, some customers have encountered issues with the quality, noting the presence of excessive stems, sticks, and debris, as well as problems with gnats emerging from the peat moss. Despite these concerns, the majority of reviews are positive, highlighting the product's ability to keep soil moist and light, and its overall effectiveness in supporting plant growth and health.

Great for storing my Dalias over the winter
I used this last winter season and my Dalia roots did really well. I stored them in a plastic container and covered them with Miracle-Gro Peat Moss. They over-wintered quite well, and grew the next season. So I bought again this Fall/Winter to store the Dalias again.
