Minwax Wood Finish Water-based Clear Tint Base Semi-transparent Tintable Interior Stain ( 1-quart )

Very difficult!!

Used the black stain and was very difficult to to get even without start stop areas. Dries as fast as putting on so when wiping off leave start and stop lines, had to resend and work with 2 people applying and trying to wiping to consistent finish, then sanded twice after with steel wool to even out finish. thick like pudding and dries before able to wipe evenly!!

Got this to stain some wood pumpkins orange and the color is perfect and works great!

Great coverage for a stain

First time using a semi transparent kind of stain. Almost applies like paint but has a much more consistent coverage across the piece of lumber. A stain sponge worked great with this product and a separate wiping of the product wasnt necessary. Good stuff.

Nice result, learning curve needed

I didn’t note how orange my oak cabinets looked in my 1990s bathroom until I painted it green. This product isn’t too hard to use, however make sure you read the labels instructions and have plenty of extra rags or tshirt scraps available for wiping and do small sections at once. Perfect effect to tone down the orange but retain the natural wood look!

Wanted to stain the wood boards I had also purchased so they blended in more.
