Not recommended. Waste of money and time. Bought this planning to stain, in lieu of painting, a sewing table for my daughter. BIG MISTAKE! I’ve used minwax stains before but this was the first time using this product. I don’t think I’ve been this disappointed in a product in a long time. tint was not added
When I picked up my stain I opened the can, always open before leaving. They did not add the tint. I ordered tint. unbelievable. (one time they added color to the paint and did not mix it, just a blob of color when I opened it at home and had to go back. I always check now) This is more of a gray color and looks nothing like a acorn. Returned it.

Save yourself hours of rework - not recommended
I find this product unusable. The only way it can be applied without looking bad was to have one person wiping immediately (1 second) behind the person applying the stain. On a small shelf (15x24), you could not cover the shelf before it dried and left blotches. So, one person wipes on and one wipes off. You have to do no more than 6 inches width at a time which still left blotches on the overlap because it dries within seconds. Any corners or bends (like the shelf edges cannot be made ...

Great coverage
This is a great stain if you need a water based stain. I had done a paint wash on a furniture piece, and it didn’t achieve the color I wanted. This water based stain worked well, and I was able to apply it over the paint wash instead of having to sand to bare wood again.

I ordered online and they sent a can of untinted base so cannot be used. On Minwax wedsite saw lots of complaints with Lowes for doing this. No one near me had this color so ordered online, not driving a long way to get it tinted. Suggest you go to a store to buy.
