What Customers Are Saying

The water-based solid stain has mixed reviews. Some customers appreciate the easy application, quick drying, and good coverage, while others find the stain difficult to work with due to fast drying and issues with pigmentation. The color options are satisfactory for some, but others report the color does not match expectations. Overall, the fast drying time and potential for inconsistent pigmentation appear to be the main drawbacks of this product.

It's a solid color stain

Would Recommend

I Bought this stain to match some old obsolete stain to refinish some old baseboards and to stain new baseboards. I did not realize the stain is SOLID coverage. It covers/ hides the grain as stated on the label. Not what I wanted but had to get the project done. I found that applying it, then immediately wiping it off with a cloth I got the desired finish that revealed the wood grain to my satisfaction.

Excellent product! Better than oil based.

I have been using this stain in several colors all year and I am very pleased with it. It dries quickly, is easy to clean up with soap and water and is available colors. For best results I found that I must cover it with Chrystal Clear Topcoat to end up with a satin finish that feels smooth.
