Tips for getting an improved result
A once-and-done product is helpful, especially in a commercial setting with limited dry-time. It is importsnt to thoroughly prepare the surface and keep a ‘wet edge’ while working. Please be aware that this is not an opaque product so care should be exercised when treating surfaces which show obvious sun exposure differences as feathering in the margins takes practice.

Not the product
Minwax is not one of my brands I choose when doing home repairs. This gel stain did not coat well on my fiberglass door. The only reason i am using this product is because my buikder used it, and whomever put it on used it like paint so it was thick in areas and ended up chipping. After I sanded the area, I tealized I would need to add this priduct on. Once it starts cooling down, door is getting removed and completely stripped of this product. It is reminiscent of jello chocolate pudding.

Slow going, uneven results
Very slow application process - wipe every 3 minutes. Long wait times between coats and finish coat. Uneven color. Not really dripless - gel falls off brush though it doesn't run after applying.
