Drips and runs

Making a two sided hanging wooden sign with vinyl lettering. Did two thin coats with a nice Wooster brush, 24 hours apart, and when I went to pull the boards up off the cardboard they were sticking to the cardboard and had these gobs on the back. Even sanding through the paint on the gobs doesn’t remove them. If re-painting the boards with black paint doesn’t hide the gobs that remain after sanding I will have to throw them away and start my project all over.

A good product

The trick is to apply more not less to create an even surface, because uneven application will create uneven gloss. This is easier if the surface is flat thus horizontal rather than vertical due to dripping. A smooth surface to begin with will make it so much easier in achieving a good result. The product itself has good adhesion with good protection. Stir don't shake too prevent air bubbles.

Great product

Painting an antique bed for my granddaughter, and researched the best way to refinish. Transparent satin stain was recommended, and I chose this product line as I had used their stains in the past. The result was a smooth finish, with a bit of a sheen - perfect for the white head and footboards. This 4 year old is thrilled...

I bought the house plant about a month ago. It still looks great. I actually have it sitting outside on my porch.!

Significantly more efficient than the spray can for most uses. Even with smaller items.

Can be sprayed

Directions say they don’t recommend spraying but I found it to be very doable with great results. I would not recommend it for your first spraying endeavor however. The product has a consistency slightly thicker than water and as such very little hang on vertical surfaces. Light coats came out fine using Graco Quick Shot and fine finish tip. I believe it would work well with HVLP as well but didn’t try it. Dried a tad fast but it was 110 here the day I sprayed, need to be mindful of overspray ...

Polycrylic Gloss Stains are Excellent

POLYCRYLIC is an Excellent Product. I especially like that it is water based, soap and water clean up and nearly crystal clear or you can choose different shades of stains. It really looks great when it dries. I recommend it to Pros or Beginners. Give it a try. A little. Tip, lightly sand between coats.

Worked better than I had hoped.

Turned out great. After two coats (light sanding between) you can barely even tell that it’s there but I know the finish is well protected.

Very disappointed in this product.

Very disappointed in this product. Tried a brush and a foam brush and can not get a smooth finish. I followed the instructions and did not shake the can but still got a lot of bubbles. Don't know what to do with the table top now. It is just a mess and looks like it needs to be sanded off and started over.
