Learn MoreAire down rod by Minka-Aire offers additional down rods for your Minka-Aire ceiling fan. For installation in rooms with medium to high ceilings. Available in additional sizes and finishes. Be sure there is at least 7 feet of clearance under your ceiling fan blades. The standard 6-inch down rod should work in most 8-foot ceiling installations. This will position the blades far enough from the ceiling to have enough “supply” air above the blades to provide good air movement. If greater floor to fan clearance is needed, some fans can use our low ceiling adapter without using any down rod. However, air movement is reduced using the low ceiling adapter. This Aire down rod can only be installed in ceiling fans made by Minka-Aire or Minka Ceiling Fan Co.

Good match for outdoor oak fan
The oak Fernbrooke outdoor fan we purchased only came with a short downrod, and this 12" distressed Koa rod was a very close match in color, even with the wood look. Very pleased!
