Creates five hinge mortises 2-1/2-in, 3-in, 3-1/2-in, 4-in & 4-1/2-in (63,5mm, 76mm, 89mm, 102mm & 114mm)
Adjustable cams automatically align templates for 1-3/8-in or 1-3/4-in doors

This is a great purchase! The design is clever, and helped me do an excellent job installing hinges on a new slab door. The templates are PLASTIC, which is disappointing, but the price is right, and after four uses, still seems fine. The kit includes a good router bit, and a NICE self-centering drill bit assembly. The only negative is that it really didn't work out on the door jamb hinge installations. The guide bushing spacing on router bit didn't allow the template to be used in the way i...

I purchased this tool because I like milescraft tools. I like how it has several templates. things I really hate about it is that you have to nail or screw the jig to the door. it takes too much time and is cumbersome to attach it that way. I bought it to replace a hing cutter that I misplaced. the one I had clamped to the door and had a depth gage aswell. it took half the time to set up and use as the milescraft one does. the milescraft one does work well but is definitely not for a pro.
