The brushless motor ensures lighter weight, more power, and longer tool life. This cordless subcompact drill features a keyless 1/2” chuck which ensures fast and easy bit replacement and that there is no bit slippage while in use. In addition, this cordless drill comes with a bright LED, ergonomic grip, center-balance design, and a 20+1 position clutch to elevate the work experience to the next level. The DS18DDX is compatible with all Metabo HPT 18V and 36V lithium ion slide batteries and the tool itself is warrantied from manufacturing defects for a lifetime!

Worthless warranty; failed tool and they won't fix

Would Not Recommend

Warranty is trash, just like the drill. Tool failed about two years after purchase - often when you pull the trigger, nothing happens. Maybe 10-20% of the time; you pull the trigger and the drill just doesn't respond. Plus, the chuck can't grab 1/16" drill bits, only larger ones. I sent it to them to get it fixed under the three year warranty, and they claimed the 'defect isn't covered under warranty.' I'm a homeowner, not even a contractor. If the tool stopped working under normal use and that ...

You didn't nail it, you screwed it :) it works OK, I don't like the fact that when the battery is low, it just stops without warning, it is also not very powerful, compared to my Makita that loses power gradually, letting you know that it need a charged battery

Awesome compact drill driver!

This is a great compact driver drill! The light weight and compact size are one thing, but Metabo kept it a 1/2" size chuck, unlike others who reduced their compact drills to 3/8". The brushless motor has amazing RPM control. I do recommend this drill driver.
