Awesome Drill
Bottom line: This is the exact same drill as the next model up...the only features differentiating them being a metal chuck and hammer function on the higher end unit. The good thing is that the lack of hammer function actually makes the drill about a 1/2" shorter from front to back. If you don't need a hammer function and you like the black as opposed to the green...this is your drill! IT is a beast. and it can be used with the cheap 18v batteries OR you can get a 36v and double the runtime....

I recently put it to a full day's use doing drilling and screwing tasks. The battery lasted all day and the drill ran great. I was using the clutch heavily and it performed as expected. I like the balance and the trigger response.

Year 2021 and still a non-ratcheting chuck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the drill driver feels solid. Major drawbacks are: -Non-ratcheting chuck (it is very inconvenient not to know whether you tighten enough or not) -Battery should at least be 3.0Ah (Sony VTC6 / Samsung 30Q cells would do the job) + 4 LED battery fuel gauge at least -No world wide warranty although there are many Hikoki technical service centers available in EU region
