The programing takes a while to learn but is not that much different than other brands I have had. Other products i have had only lets you choose to sprinkle every few days (i.e. - every 2 days or every 3 days etc but you cannot combine these different days (i.e. alternate between every 2 days and every 4 days)). This unit not only allows you to choose to sprinkle every few days but also allows you to choose the days of the week you would like to sprinkle (.ie. - every Sunday & Tuesday or ever...

Melnor is becoming a problem brand.

Something wrong with how the company is making the attachment portion of the timer. This time, the rubber tightening part was not attached to the brass coupling portion and without that working, cannot screw the device on to the outlet nor off.

turns off on its own, hard to fit batteries

unit just turns off on its own for now reason, you have to reseat batteries, but it doesnt guarantee it will turn back on, also it lacks ability to run X minutes then rest Y minutes in cycle, only 4 schedules per zone , based on time. Not great water pressure either.

Complicated

The product worked well. It is DIFFICULT to program. There are so many options. Much more difficult than the previous unit we had that was the same brand. I preferred the simpler item, but this did the job just fine

Worked perfectly

The first one we bought did not work. Customer support was fantastic and shipped us out a new model. That one worked perfectly!

can't get it to work

I have this unit and the smaller 2-port unit. I can not get either of them to work consistently. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and with this Texas weather, they must work all the time.

Works as advertised. This is my second one and would recommend.
