Nightmare Lowe's Customer Care & Defective Dryer

The dryer was installed by the Lowe's installation crew but they did not take the time to see if it actually would get hot when they turned it on for 2 seconds before leaving. The dryer does not heat!!!! We called Lowe's customer care line to report the issue and they were a nightmare, claiming nothing was wrong with the dryer despite it not heating or drying anything, they were so rude, and they hung up on us several times even though we did nothing wrong. I did my homework researching brands and have an English lab. However the whole decision to purchase the Maytag pet pro brand has been a disappointment on many levels. The dryer door is tinny and feels like it will break or not latch unless slammed hard. The machine did not make it through its first load of towels. I received this appliance one month ago and the matching top load washer. I would give anything to have back my white Maytag appliances that I had for close to 25 years. Never a repair to either one, but decided it was time to be safe and replace. We have three dogs, one is a golden retriever so there is a lot of hair to deal with. I do appreciate being able to remove the filter from the washer. Every time we empty the dryer lint filter, it leaves dust and sometimes sand from the Golden's walks ...

Looks are deceiving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer looks nice but it s cheaply made. When you shut the door you have to slam it to get it to latch and it sounds like a tin can. The lint trap drops the lint off and have had to already use my warranty for a technician to clean it out. I regret this purchase.

Matag is the best the engineers should make a better connection system for the exhaust and something that locks in place. Clamps could be quick locking type. Instead of clamps. Design team make me one.mine is a short run and falls off when you move it. Still Matag is the best. Highly recommended by all my family.

i think if you looked at this thing the wrong way you would bend the sheet metal. I expected more from a Maytag. This is what I get for buying online. Everything on this dryer is cheap from the control panel to the sheet metal. It doesn't dry very well even with a boosted exhaust duct. The one positive is that its lint filter is easier to clean than those that are tucked under the door.
