Love the planters and the fact that they are so durable against the weather.
However, I like to clean out all water from the reservoir in the winter. Even enlarging the hole on the side of the planter, I can never get all of the "mucky" water to release from the planter. I have spent hours trying to clean them out and it's still there when it's time to plant for spring. I have enlarged the holes, tried to clean out folage, and lay the planters on the side and upside down for the winter, and still can't get the water out of the reservoir.
