I have now installed 4 Mr Cool compressors over the past 6 years. My first two were DIY. No problems. My third and fourth were this series. An 18000 and a 12000 BTU Advantage 1 series. Since these are not considered DIY and do not come with pre evacuated lines I did need to buy a inexpensive vacuum pump and gauges. Simple to use and well explained on many YouTube videos, some showing these exact models. Be aware the compressors are preloaded with enough gas so you do not need to buy gas on first...
