I purchased the Master Forge 23800-BYU Kerosene heater last winter when my heat pump stopped working. I followed the initial start-up instructions in the provided manual and it started right up! I did this outside in a well-vented area before using it inside my home. I would highly recommend you read the manual in regard to wick maintenance and replacement and the dry burn procedure. I would recommend purchasing a replacement wick to store away. This way you'll have one when you need it. Dura He...
