TERRIBLE!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

DO NOT BUY!!! You have been warned. From my contractor's advice, I bought 3 bags of the mocha Mapei ultra color plus grout for my new shower walls. I looked at the reviews and found several with complaints of color issues, so I wouldn't let my contractor put it in until I saw it mixed up. It looked great in the bucket. So up it went. OOOOOOH NOOOOO!!! It dried a pale gray beige!!! Absolutely horrible! My contractor took days to get the different tiles in so nice. He worked...

Dries a shade not even close to color on brochure

We chose the Frost color based on the brochure we received. It is supposed to be a pale-ish, taupe-y gray, but it dries White. Pure WHITE that will show every bit of dirt. Totally disgusted and now we are stuck with a very high maintenance floor in our entryway and bath/laundry room.

Abysmal product

Used a dark brown / gray grout…dried as a light concrete color…ruined look of floor. Mapei has every excuse in the book as why it might happen to include minerals in water, too much water used in clean up, improper temp or humidity! If these things fade the color, you’ve got a problem with your grout. The fact they have a canned response in how to handle this type of problem tells you the product is junk. Don’t let Mapei ruin your floor!!!

dries way to fast

The mud in tje bucket kept drying out in like less than 10 min. - it says 15-30 min. Before spunging - well my first wall was hardened within 15 min. And it was a disaster to clean off. And yes, i followed directions when mixing it.

I like it

easy to mix and apply. Did my backsplash (30 sq ft) in about an hour. Looks awesome

Bleeds so badly.

So disappointed I installed this grout, mixed properly, and now it bleeds black down all my white tile. Just touching a grout line leaves your figer black. Miserable!!
