If you have light and dark areas it is not the fault of the product. the light areas are lack of water in the grout when spreading it. all you have to do is wet the light areas with a little white vinegar and take a stiff brush and gently brush off the top layer of sandy grout. then rinse of the vinegar and it will dry the darker color you are looking for.

Absolute crap
I've tiled many many times and this is the worst grout I've ever used by far. It's nearly impossible to clean up
