Terrible

The caulk would not come out the tip on the first tube I purchased. Instead, it squished out the back. The same thing happened with the second tube that I purchased from another Lowes. However, because I needed to finish my job, I found a coat hanger and stuck it down the tip. About half came through the tip and the rest came out the back of the tube. This stuff saved my entire project!

Unfortunately. I didnt have any luck with the mapei chocolate colored grout because it didnt dry anywhere near the dark chocolatey color it was supposed to. It looked kind of light grey and was not the look I was going for. I tried everything but nothing worked. Mapei Caulking

The majority of the time I’ve used this caulking, it’s been good experiences. The color is close to the grout color and the strength of the caulking is great. However, on occasion, after I’ve made a small opening on the end of the nozzle and lightly squeezed the gun, it continues to come out. Manufacturers responses

What is thoroughly inconsistent about the responses from the manufacturer are they only respond with “100% silicone should be used in wet areas” if you see a complaint in a review. Someone sings the praises of the product and no reminder from the company to “watch for cracking as pull away as we do recommend 100% silicone for wet area projects”.

Good Color Match

We used this sanded caulk in pearl grey to finish our kitchen backsplash. We used un-sanded pearl grey grout but the unsanded matching caulk was out of stock. Overall, we are very happy with how it turned out & the grout and caulking are a very very close match, especially considering one is sanded and one is not!

Functional and easy to install

I use this product when doing tile work - my wife and I fix up and resell homes and this is a product that we use between the granite counter tops and the tile. We also use it in tile showers in the corners and also between the tile and the base.

Don’t Buy It!

It does not firm up and dry in wet areas. Near the faucet it’s bleeding onto the tub and won’t dry. Going to remove it and use a good silicone caulk.

Perfect latex caulk

This is the first time I have used this caulk. It was easily applicable and clean up was a breeze. It is smooth and easily finish-able. Now time will tell to see how it holds up. I think it will do great.

Matched the grout perfectly

I had several cracks in the grout on the floor tile, as well as cracked grout beside the exterior walls. This product worked well to solve the problems and was a good match for the old grout on the floor.

I grabbed some of this today and noticed that the instore price was twice as much as the online price. That would be my only issue.
