Great for two years and then poof

Worked fine for two years and then slowly started sinking in the middle. At the end of two years, the middle of the tub is now cracked, chipped and now unusable. Looking at it when it was removed, the middle of the tub is the weakest, thinnest material while the sides are actually thicker. We won't be going with a Maax tub again as this is a big design fault. The place with the most stress should be the thickest part or at least reinforced. That area is half the thickness of the rest of the tub....

Review of Both Lowes and Maax bathtub

My BIGGEST issue right now is Lowes. This bathtub can ONLY be used with a surround system and it was not shown as such in the store. Husband BOUGHT THIS due to the clean look but also how deep it was. This is a MASSIVE ISSUE since we cannot now add a shower door due to the 1in lip! The whole bathroom is DONE but we cannot shower because no door. Now we have to try to figure something out (shower curtain is NOT an option, this is a HIGH END bathroom). We had read the handful of reviews online...

Cracked

Cracked at one of the flanges . Inspected one side & of course the side that I didn’t inspect had the crack . I was going to install because the crack was somehow inconspicuous however as I was attempting to install the crack got bigger. Returned .

Terrible tub 2x

First tub I had installed leaked and developed cracks and exposed hidden voids under paper thin finish upon first 2 uses. Had to have it torn out and replaced. 2nd tub has now been in for 8 months and cracks have developed and also holes due to voids underneath the paper thin finish breaking in. The decision to put this tub in my home has been one of the most financially and mentally draining situations I've ever dealt with. I truly wish I could go back in time.... I hope these words save someon...

Great fit with matching vellamo tub

Nice looking surround , seams are not in the corner so make sure to see where it lines up before putting in extra blocking. The panel seams are corner fit, which isn't the best for a tight seam. Wall seams not tight is the reason for 3 stars. 1/4 gap

Horrible quality and customer service

Our tub is less than 3 years old and two different cracks appeared. I attempted to contact MAAX, but they blew me off and did not honor their “lifetime” warranty. Don’t spend your money on such a poor quality product.

HUGE but difficult

I loved the modern look, so we opted for this tub. Once we got home and unboxed it there was a significant chip out of the acrylic on the front apron. It should be covered once we tile/caulk. This bath is DEEP which I love, but trying to fit it inside out alcove was a nightmare. We had to cut studs out of the wall on one end just to drop it in. Great Tub

I purchased this tub and had it installed about 2 months ago and upon installation noticed a scrtach/chip marking on tub. Marking on tub didn't come from installers, had to come from manufacture or Lowe's..just letting u know to inspect your product thoroughly before installing..All in all the tub is Hreat and the wife Loves it!
