Replacing a screen in a patio screen door

I had to replace the screen on my patio screen door. I decided to buy the pet screen because it was very sturdy. I was surprised how easy it was to install & I believe it was so sturdy. I laid the screen on top of the screen door leaving 2-3 inches overlap on the sides, top & bottom. Feels rigid and it is stopping the dog from running out.

Not polyester

Product listing online says polyester, store display says polyester, product packaging says fiberglass. Felt and looked the same as other fiberglass screens there. Employee was just as confused as we were. Triple checked and the physical product does not say polyester anywhere, even as an additive or coating etc, likewise the Lowes listing also says nothing about fiberglass.

Decent screen replacement for pets

I appreciate the thicker yet still flexible material this is compared to the thin screen previously. Having a cat who despises squirrels, I needed something to contain her rage safely inside the house. The material was easy to cut with both scissors and an X-Acto knife. Does that sound counterintuitive to resisting long term claw marks? Maybe, but I had so much material left over I can still replace it a few more times whenever I need to.

It’s very durable and last a long time.

Screen for door

I purchased this screen because it was pet proof. So far it's working. It was a little more difficult to get it in the door channel because it's very thick. And also cutting it was a little more difficult. I think it should hold up well

Easy to Install

The pet screen was easy to install. I watched a YouTube video beforehand. I used .125 diameter spline and it worked well. My dog hasn’t been near the screen yet so I can’t say how much protection it provides but it is certainly very sturdy compared to the basic screening I had before.

No Damage from Dogs So Far.

Purchased because our dogs tore up our screen door. This product has held up surprisingly well despite continued scratching from the dogs.
