Compact and durable.
Compact abd light weight. The cotton line is durable and holds the chaulk powder well. Fits easy in my tool belt. Easy to operate and the filling slide opens easily but stays closed during use.
Great chalk line
This is a great chalk line. It’s super easy to fill. Draws a perfect straight line. No blue chalk all over your hands. Winds up easily after using. Love it!
Sturdy feeling chalk line
This item does the job it needs to and excels compared to its counterparts in a couple ways. The metal construction of the body makes me a bit more confident in being able to drop it (although the plastic winding mechanism leaves me a bit worried), and the ratio of spinning to reel in the line makes quick work of getting the string back in. The hook also has good grab on surfaces, and the no spill refill feature works really well, just make sure the chalk bottle in inserted completely to avoid s...
It works, but I'm a newb...
This tool works...it puts down a chalk line where you snap it! Admittedly, this is my first time using a tool like this so it didn't go as smooth as I imagined it would. I needed to make a marking on some patio stones and thought this would be easier than using my 6 ft level to try and trace a line. The challenge I had was getting a full line all the way in one "snap". Eventually, I got the line I needed, it just took some practice. So the tool is solid...I'm just a newb! Pros: I like t...
This is a neat chalk line
I have used many chalk lines in my day but this the neatest one I have used. The handle that you roll the line in with will lock back in the housing without having to back the handle up. I really like the place that it fills with chalk.
Works great.
I got this new chalk line because the lines I would try to mark with a pencil was not always straight and I would have to try and erase some of the pencil lines left. This chalk line works great and NO erasing. It leaves a line easy to follow and easy to get rid of after I saw the wood. The Lufkin Line chalk also rewinds a lot quicker than the old ones I use to try and use a long time ago. I would recommend this product.
Great!! I Love It!
This is the first time I have ever used a chalk line that I did not get more chalk on my hand than on the surface I was cutting. I loved the plug that keeps the powder on the line. This is the best chalk line That I have ever used.
Close but no cigar
The CLA100B is aluminum and much sturdier than that CL100B which is plastic. The 6:1 gear ration pulls the line in very quickly, and the nesting end hook is nice. However, I found many more negatives than positives about this device. It’s surprisingly difficult to reel in the line and the single hand hub lock definitely takes two hands to operate. The first time I used it, I thought I was doing something wrong because it was so difficult to unlock. The one-way chalk refill is useless because ...
couldnt get a solid line
Poured in chalk. Shook it. Wind and unwind. Could not get a solid chalk line. Buy at your own risk.
