What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this dryer vent hood for its straightforward installation and perfect fit on standard 4-inch exhaust pipes. Most highlight the effective flapper and removable animal guard that block critters, bugs, and lint while preventing fire risk. Many appreciate the downward-facing hood design for rain resistance and easy cleaning. Reviewers consistently describe it as excellent value despite the plastic construction feeling thin. A few note occasional loose components, but most agree it performs reliably and outperforms pricier alternatives, making it a worthwhile investment.

Very nice dryer vent hood

Would Recommend

Dryer vent hood seems to be made very well. It was easy to install and is secure. Appears to be extra critter proof with a screen and flap. Flap stops any backdraft into the house and airflow out is good.

Can you turn this vent cover sideways? The one we have is flat to the house and in the front of the house. The lint collects on and kills my plants.

How far apart are the holes for mounting/screws?

I installed the vent hood and just before installing the vent hose I noticed there is a small hole in the vent flapper. Is this meant to be there or is it a manfacturing defect? I'm not taking it back now. Should I cover the hole?

Why does this crimp direction seem to be in the wrong direction for moist airflow pushing outwards ?
