Finally replace my LG dryer after 18 years of reliable service and I upgraded to a latger 9.0 cu ft dryer. Since I couldn't use my former 27 inch pedestal, I shopped for a 29 inch pedestal. I could only find the matching graphite steel pedestal for a reasonable price on the LG website. I could have purchased a black LG 29 inch pedestal, but that would look really funky. Some of us have dryer vents that are under the unit and not behind the unit. Dryers come with the option to mount a kit to discharge out of the bottom (saves space, safer due to no pipes coiled behind the unit to trap lint, allows the unit to be pushed to the rear wall), but these pedestals need to have a perforated slot option cut into them to allow the pedestal to be used in a bottom discharge configuration.
