Ice Maker Subpar at best
Icemaker distributes unevenly creating a roadblock to filling the ice compartment. This issue creates little to no ice in the compartment at any given time. The fix is a manual fix where the owner must open ice maker door bang the roadblock if ice down into the ice compartment holder and hit the on and off button so the freezer understands it’s time to make ice again now the the roadblock has been distributed correctly.

Display doesn't show when something's wrong
Lots of nice features. Unfortunately, some basic ones are missing, like an alarm and/or an error code when the unit fails. The display shows only the temperature setpoints for the freezer and fridge compartments, not the actual temperatures (like every other thermostat in the world). The linear compressor is normally very quite, which is great, unless you fail to realize when it has stopped running. Not good brand
Not worth the money Bought this fridge 4 years ago, ice machine no longer works, I have to get the ice manual / push the inside bottom and seal broke too. Called Lg, of course out of warranty Never buy this brand again or recommend it

Poor Reliability
Purchased the LMXS28596S /01 in May of 2021, it stopped working in May of 2025. Very disappointed in the LG appliance product line. According to the repair company, the compressor needs to be replaced. Parts are on order from LG. Going into my third week without a refrigerator… SMH!
