Halo Touch has Wi-Fi built-in that connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network and smartphone for a secure smart home that does not require a third party smart home hub, panel, or subscription. With storage for up to 100 fingerprints (50 users), you can give keyless access to your family and friends with their unique fingerprint and manage access through the Kwikset app. With the Kwikset app and your smartphone, you can manage your lock from anywhere. Lock and unlock, manage users, view lock activity, receive lock notifications and much more. Your existing home Wi-Fi network and an internet connection brings the ultimate in security and convenience right to your finger tips. You can also lock and check the status of Halo using voice commands with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the fingerprint sensor or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. Available in both contemporary and traditional styles.

The Electronics Barely Outlasted the Warranty

Would Not Recommend

The lock worked well for about two years, then developed severe battery drain and now burns through alkaline batteries every 7 to 10 days with very little use. I verified 2.4 GHz WiFi signal strength, reset the lock, tested multiple alkaline battery brands, and confirmed there are no alignment or mechanical issues. The drain continues even while the lock sits mostly idle. Kwikset support was polite, but ultimately hid behind the 1 year electronics warranty and offered no accommodation at all. ...

These locks require 4 AA batteries to operate. Their power consumption is HUGE requiring new batteries every 4 - 6 days depending on use. This product should not be on the market.

Halo Touch Fingerprint

Purchased this lock so kids can get in faster than using a key when coming home from school. In less than a year, the touch pad stopped working. Kwikset had me do troubleshooting and sent me a replacement. Within less than a year, the replacement did the same thing. This is obviously a defect from this product. Kwikset now says I am passed my warranty phase of 1 yr. If you want a product that works for less than a year, buy this then.

Great lock horrible for battery usage.

These are great locks, the only complaint I have is they go through batteries so fast. If they cane out with a lipo battery pack that would last longer I would redo this review. I'm sure I'll be spending more in batteries that this lock costs in no time.

This wireless component of this product DOES NOT sync with the newer generation routers (like past 3 years). My only guess is that they are trying to sell through a technologically obsolete product.
