I wanted to love it

The features of this lock are all amazing. Apple car play connectivity, geofencing for auto locking, multiple code options. I loved it…. Until a week went by and I had to change the batteries… surly this was just due to the lock having a ton of updates right? This lock can eat 4 double AA’s in a matter of days. I slowly started Turing off my favorite features in an attempt to salvage battery life. Nothing worked. 32 AA’s later and I give up. Back to Lowe’s she goes.

This is such a great smart lock. Very responsive and works exactly how I hoped.

AWFUL

I have now had this door lock for 6 months. It doesn’t work anymore. Prior to it just completely not working I had to put the code in multiple times for it to unlock. You cannot lock or unlock it anymore from the keypad. The keypad still lights up and makes noise when you input the code and sounds as if it’s trying to unlock but never does. Yes, it is installed correct.

Poor quality

This model is the absolute worst. It constantly fails to maintain connection to the wi-fi. Kwikset has replaced 3 times in less than 6 months!

Good lock but faulty WiFi connection

I purchased this lock and when it works it works well . However, I had WiFi connection and battery drain issues. Customer service tried to resolve the issue by walking me through the steps. It fixed the issue for about a day a two but the problem returned. The router I use is brand new so signal strength issue is not a concern. Kwikset sent me a replacement Halo Select , but that had the same issues. I am now returning the lock for a refund. Hopefully Kwikset can solve the connection problems...

Easy smart lock

Installation was easy and quick. App works wonderful. Has a little bit of an issue with adjusting the lock when locking but eventually got it.

Worthless Junk

I bought this lock for my house and it worked less than two months. It suddenly sounded an alarm and would not stay connected to WiFi or Bluetooth. It became very difficult to unlock manually and the touchscreen outside went blank. I had to leave my house unlocked and it would eventually lock itself. I returned it to Lowe’s and received a new one. I installed the new lock this morning and couldn’t make it through the installation process. Face Plate Dead after 1st Rain

The first time it rained the keypad went black, and won't turn back on, I can still use it on the app, but its a business and I can't have entire staff download an app to get into work.

Just don't work.

Tried to get this working for 3 days and it stopped working after about 3 or 4 hours each day. Lost contact with bluetooth or wifi. Had to remove or change batteries to reboot. The keypad was always troublesome, sometimes working and sometimes not. As far as I'm concerned it's not ready for market.
