These screws are for hardwood pocket holes!
Using these screws really made a difference. They were necessary for joining the hardwood portions of a 12' long window bench. The pocket hole screws I had were for plywood or other soft woods. The #7s worked perfectly for the face frame of the bench. Any woodworker or cabinet builder would know about these screws and the others to be used for soft woods. If anything I bought too many - but they will be used in future projects.

The pocket hole screws work like any other pocket hole screws. The Kreg name makes them a little more expensive, but not a lot.
