Why the thumb drive button?
I recently purchased the 80 V self-propelled kobalt mower. Didn’t look to see that they had change the control for the drive. I had purchased one before and the only problem with it was the height adjustment bar that went around the motor dragged on the ground when place on the higher setting, so I took it back. I kept going back to the store as I waited to see if they corrected that problem and saw that they had , so I bought one again, I didn’t notice that they had change the controls and wil...
You think if you pay $500.00 for a push mower, you should be able to start it when you get it. But I just found out you have to pay and extra $200.00 for a battery and $50.00 for a charger. And it was missing bolts to the handle bars .
16 Month Ownership Review
I purchased this mower on May 5, 2018, so I've gone through two mowing seasons using this mower. I mow a fescue lawn at least once per week from May to October. Mower is kept in a temperature controlled garage when not in use. Pros: 1. Favorite thing: Push the button and your mowing. No gas, no oil, no pulling handles.....It just mows. 2. It is quiet and no gas exhaust fumes. 3. Self propulsion works without the blades engaged. Just pull the handle and roll it from the garage to the lawn. 4....

#?@#$&! HOW does this mower have good ratings!
I'm sooo confused about having read all good things about this mower, which has been nothing but a struggle! While I readily admit I didn't know that rwd is actually intended for hilly terrain, & the description just says uneven, which my lawn is, but it's not hilly. Still, I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. My last mower was not self propelled & although I noticed it was RWD, I didn't think it would matter because there Kobalt only has one self-propelled push mower. I figured if f...

Kobalt 80-volt mower died
Purchased mine new in February, loved its power, convenience and ease of use. It died in July.

Review after more than 1 season.
I recommend the Kobalt 80v self-propelled highly. I'm in the middle of the second season with mine and it has exceeded my expectations. I live in the Houston, TX area and have a St. Augustine grass lawn, which is considerably thicker and more difficult to mow than the Bermuda grass lawns of my native Ohio. I made the plunge to electric after the gas tank on my top-of-the-line Honda exploded and caused my entire garage to burn. I doubted that an electric would be able to handle my St. Augustine l...
Does a wonderful job
This is my first electric mower. It is truly amazing, even when the grass is long or wet. I have used the bag in those cases. I have been getting many compliments from the neighbors about how nice the yard looks. Even from people who cut grass on the side. I would highly recommend this mower. I bought the extra battery, pricey but worth it. It is just pop the battery in and go. I was wary but I am a believer now.
I never write reviews
I needed a mower for my back yard because I have flagstone steps leading to my back yard on both sides and the Landscaping Companies did not like carrying their mowers every week down to my back yard. So I said I will get a mower back there and cut it and y’all take care of the rest. So the search was on. To be honest I first purchased a Huvanque mower. It was electric, self propelled and did a beautiful cut. The only problem was the design was so bad the handles on both sides would not stay up ...

Cuts great but battery charge slower than ad
I'm writing this review as I wait for my battery to charge. The mower itself works great, cuts better than my $400 gas mower ever did. In theory the battery lasts 30mins or so and the battery takes 30mins to charge. So IN THEORY you should be able to mow non stop, just changing out the battery every 30mins. However, if the mower has been working hard, the battery will be too hot to charge, so the charger and it's fans work on cooling off the battery, this can take up to 15mins. So after usi...
