Purchased this mower and battery package back in January 2023 as delivered to my local Lowe's for pickup. Mower works great to date and I highly recommend. However, the 80V battery became defective on me on 8/9/2025 as it would no longer charge and red light would flash when placed in charger, and even when cool. Battery is well within 3-year warranty that explicitly states: "If you believe that the Kobalt battery is defective at any time during the warranty period,simply return the Kobalt bat...

Tough choice

I guess I'm going to get the 80 V. Push mower. it's on sale for $200 off, which is a good deal. I would prefer the self-propelled version, but, for some reason, it's not on sale and is not worth paying $300 more just for the self propelled feature. Retired on a tight budget. I would get it if it was on sale...that would be my preference.

Kobalt 80 volt mower

Not quite as powerful as a gas mower but close enough for what I use it for. In high grass it works better with side discharge or bagger, not mulching. I get about 30 minutes mowing time out of a two amp battery. I have had some other Kobalt 80 volt tools for a couple of years and have not had any problems with the batteries or chargers. finally pleased with battery mower

Purchased greenworks 60 pro self propelled 3 weeks ago and very disappointed with run time. Went back and purchased what Lowes associate recommended initially. the Kobalt 80-vt self-propelled, and WOW am i pleased with the runtime. .49 acre mowed on 1 battery with 1 bar to spare. Also this mower seems to mow fairly close to the full 21 in width. Have only mowed 1 time, but so far its a keeper.. Great Mower

I have this mower and the prior generation Kobalt at a second home. Mower works great-it is easy to push, there is no cranking and no exhaust fumes.

We will find another brand.

We bought the 80v mower, trimmer and leaf blower last summer. I’ve enjoyed not having to fight with a carbureted machine, but overall haven’t been happy with the performance and sturdiness off the kobalt brand to hold up to normal wear and tear. The experience hasn’t been impressive enough to stick with kobalt brand.
