Great buy, Just what I needed

Now on backorder AGAIN

This is the third item I purchased from Lowes in the last couple weeks that has been placed on backorder. Before making the purchase it showed it was in stock. Immediately after placing the order, shows on backorder. Lowes, again, stop selling items you dont have in stock.

Website not accurate.

80v lawn edger, don’t plan delivery based on what is posted on the website. I chose delivery because it was supposed to be here Wednesday and Store pickup was Thursday, well that was a lie and maybe it will be here on Friday. Gets frustrating when things are promised and not delivered.

Doesn’t last long.

I’ve had this edger since the end of last mowing season ( mid October). Worked fine initially and have used it weekly since the start of this mowing season (mid April). However, the blade needed replacement which is normal wear. When I attempted to replace the blade the locking mechanism in the shaft failed allowing the blade to rotate and not fix solid. As such the blade simply rotates when I try to remove the nut. I understand other consumers have had the same problem. Kobalt needs to address ...

Not Serviceable

Do not buy this edger if you want a tool that will last you longer than the blade. When putting the pin in the rotor to lock the blade in place so you can remove the nut and change the blade, the cheap plastic tears away and the blade will spin freely disabling your ability to remove the nut. I’ve had this happen on two of these junk products. Had to throw away a perfectly good edger because the blade was worn out and not serviceable because of the cheap and asinine design of this thing.
