What Customers Are Saying
The air compressor offers ample air volume and pressure for a variety of tools and applications, with a two-stage design that provides efficient and reliable operation. However, some users have reported issues such as leaks and faulty parts. The compressor can also be quite loud, and the installation process may require additional accessories or modifications. Overall, the air compressor appears to be a suitable choice for medium-sized shops and home garages, though buyers should be aware of the potential for quality control problems.

It was easy to wire up for me. Is never not enough air for my needs. Easy maintenance too.

Not Good
I have had numerous issues and everything has been replaced on this more than once except the tank. Have to deal with 3rd party "warranty" company because they no longer support this under warranty. Spoke to someone a few weeks ago and they still haven't got back to me. Last issue was a capacitor melted and filled my entire shop with smoke. Lucky it didnt catch fire. Its garbage and Lowes wont even do the right thing for their customer.
The best compressor I’ve ever owned
I’ve had mine about a year now I did some unique modifications to it I added a 6 inch Air pressure gauge. I also added a digital hour gauge. That way I know how many hours I have run the compressor at any given moment. It’s absolutely the best compressor I’ve ever owned.
very disappointed
Don't waste your money on this unit. I purchased 2 years ago. I maybe have 50 hours on the unit. The motor stopped working with tripping my circuit breaker. I replaced the circuit breaker thinking it was failing and even tried a larger amperage breaker - still the same issue. I looked up the warranty. Motor is covered only 1 year. The limited 3 year warranty is a joke. I took the motor into a repair shop. They found the stationary switch had failed. The repair shop cannot not find the pa...
Hardly used it before motor overload kicked out. Called Kobalt and Lowes multiple times just to get told by Lowes I'd have to drive 3hrs round trip to replace it. Guess I'll take it back to the store and get my money back on it and 3 year warranty I bought. Waste of my time!
Warranty company useless
After 1 month Shaft on motor bent because pulley came off, I have been waiting 3mo since May for the warranty company with no update wont answer my emails either since beginning of July
lasted 6mo
pulley came off the motor shaft causing belt to burn up and motor shaft to be bent. warranty company is a joke going on 3wks with no answer , The lady at lowes told me craftsman is taking over no more kobalt.
Unreliable kobalt even worst warranty
Junk, and what a run around with part replacement. Not only do they not want to fix there faulty equipment, but they make almost impossible to get anyone on the phone.
Kobalt compressor
The motor pulley came off the compressor after a few hours use. It ruined the pulley and getting a new pulley has been difficult. The compressor is bolted to concrete and plumbed. They said I could return it. All I want is a pulley!
