What Customers Are Saying

Customers praise the product for creating clean, precise countersinks and pilot holes with adjustable depth control, and many report professional results on woodworking projects like decks and cabinetry. The three-piece set covers multiple sizes effectively. However, a substantial portion report premature failures, particularly at the hex shank connection, with bits snapping or coming loose after just a few uses even in soft wood. Reviewers describe the metal as feeling cheap and fragile. While functionality impresses initially, durability concerns and structural design flaws leave many questioning long-term value.

The only good part is they are adjustable. Ended up getting a Dewalt set that performed much better. These just felt low quality in comparison.

great tool, makes life easier.

First time buyer of this type of drill bit and am very pleased. Used them today to put 4 screws to hold a placement fence for guide I am building for my cut off saw. The bit was sharp, easily adjusted to the correct depth and the screws sat perfect in the counter sink.

Quite sharp, with lots of non-obvious uses.

Would Recommend

I bought this set for one particular job and have since found a dozen places where it works better than just a standard drill bit. The tapered drill is sharp, and I use it much like a step drill, but on a much tighter set of holes. It makes a breeze out of drilling starter holes in project boxes for electronics, for example.

Are there replacement drill bits available?

What is the angle of the countersink?

Does Kobalt/Lowes sell a replacement for the bit? I don't want to buy the whole thing after the bit broke but want the tapered bit.
