What Customers Are Saying
The miter saw offers a range of features and functionality at a reasonable price point. Many users reported the saw was able to make clean cuts, especially on smaller pieces. However, a significant number of customers experienced quality control issues, such as the saw not cutting straight, the laser guide being ineffective, and the fence not properly aligned. Careful inspection and adjustment may be required to achieve accurate, consistent cuts with this model.

I have an older version of this and I believe they have changed it but there is no easy way to square the blade up. the only way to do it is to move the fence. The newer ones have screws you can loosen and move where the base locks in. It sucks I spent this money for them to change it after I bought it. I'm to the point I'm about to go to a different brand if i have to spend more money to be able to easily adjust the thing.

No More Kobalt
Bought 1, power switch and trigger were messed up. Occasionally it worked but when it did, when I stopped it, it didn't start again. Then if I put the power switch in the off position the saw would work. Returned the saw and got another identical one. It had the same switch, trigger problem. I'm writing off Kobalt power tools altogether.
I got mine for $244 at Lowes
great quality with great price. I am using it wit a diamond metal blade now with no problems
