What Customers Are Saying
The saw offers a sturdy folding stand with wheels for easy portability, a large rip capacity, and an adjustable fence system that provides accurate and secure cuts. It has ample power to handle a variety of woodworking tasks. However, the plastic throat plate can be flimsy and prone to warping, and the miter gauge may not meet all users' preferences. With some adjustments, it can provide reliable and accurate performance for DIY homeowners and weekend woodworkers.

Replacement Parts Unavailable
I recently puchased this saw, unaware that replacement parts are not available for itl Assembly directions are not well written nor illustrated either. It took me quite a while to figure out how the fence works and to discover that my saw was missing the 6 shoulder screws, washers and nuts that are necessary to lock the fence in place. I'm hoping that Kobalt can supply these as I've thrown out the box it came in and can no longer return it.
Bought this on clearance from Lowe's.
Really like this saw so far. No issues and not being a higher end saw I was concerned about the functionality of the fence but so far so good! Got this saw on clearance from Lowe's and would buy again. I have no reason to think this saw won't last me 5 years or so, I'm not rough on my tools and the build quality doesn't match a $650.00 saw but it does the job!

Cheap accessories
Like everything except the plastic T-square scale which is very hard to read

Had a little trouble getting it to open fully
Assembly was a bit difficult

Rips 1" thick Oak no problem!
Shipped via Fed-Ex to my door. Discovered one bent fence rail, so now the fence cannot go fully to the left. No bracing provided to protect these rails during shipment. Assembly time is one hour. Several bolt holes (in the tube support structure) did not line up; required disassembly and torquing the tubes w/ a long drift pin, to finish assembly. Good saw for the money! Not using commercially, just homeowner small jobs.

dead
I have had it for 3 years and loved it. however my health had a hiccup but going again. loved the portability of it and all the extensions. Very smartly designed. HOWEVER build quality is very circumspect! after being used 4-5 times in the 3 years and cutting maybe 50 boards it froze up. It was never used or stored outside. And we had 10 2×4's to split and on the 8th nothing! We were NOT overstressng the tool, and it was shut off every time between boards so I could take the split out to...
